The title says it all. I'm looking for abacot ranger duck eggs (fertile.... of course). I'm in Washington, and I'm not having any luck finding any ANYWHERE!
I'm sure you remember, but this is Dana. I'm the one Holderread's sent you to for Runners. I can send you some eggs this week if you are interested as all of our incubators are full. I can make you a deal you almost can't refuse! LOL. The Runners have really started laying a lot in the last month. I have eggs from our Saxony Runners (one pen has a white hen as well, so there will be a few eggs of unknown color from that pen). I also have lots of excess eggs from the Grays/Blue Fawns. PM me here if you are interested.
As far as Abacot Rangers, I don't think there are any in the US. They are the same genotype as our Silver Welsh Harlequins in the US. The main difference in the Abacots is that they have been selectively bred for more prominent hooding, whereas WH breeders try to avoid that. They are both harlequin phase dusky though and you do see WH that hatch with the hooding as well, so you could probably selectively breed for that. Anyway, let me know if you want some eggs from the Runners. I could send you probably at least a couple dozen.
