Hi fellow Illini chicken keepers. I'm in Springfield. Just started keeping chickens March 2024 with 5 Easter Eggers, 1 Blue Orpington and then was gifted 2 Black Australorps. My ladies are about 12.5 weeks old now. I've been enjoying every minute of it! So far, everything has been going well, all chicks healthy and thriving. Been learning lots by reading through posts on BYC. What a great resource. Cannot wait for my first egg! I'm taking bets that it will be one of my Australorps, Aunt Edna!
