This is my rhode island red chicken that is almost 12 weeks old, up until a few days ago we had thought it was a hen but when i brought home a 5 month old Barred Rock, which i was told was a rooster, he started chassing the barred rock around.
So i had to keep the barred rock in a seperate pen and every time i try to let him out to wander with the others its the same thing the rhode island red just wants to fight. Not to mention the rhode island red has been making crowing sounds everymorning at 5:30 am can anyone tell me if i have 2 roosters or one rooster one hen or 2 hens i could also use any advice. thanks
i can always be reached at [email protected]

RIR is 100% rooster. Very red comb and wattles, saddle feathers and tail feathers, heavy legs.

The BR I will GUESS hen, but not 100% sure.

My guess is your RIR is a roo and your BR is a hen. I had a BR rooster and he had beautiful tail feathers. They went up and out, almost like your RIR but longer. He was a handsome bird, unfortunately he was a big meanie and was sent to freezer camp.
