I just Bougth 1 pair of gambles and 1 pair of Valley Quails

I kind of made an aviary for them , I really need to know if they will need nest boxes or boxes for shelter

what can I use for them to sleep in?

thank you guys

This place is like a Book of knowledge
thank to all of you

If your aviary has lots of hiding places, like under bushes, trees, bales of straw etc then i wouldnt bother with a box, but if you keep them on a wire floor cage you could always offer them a box to go in.
I keep most of my quails on wire and i give them a box and they use it to lay there eggs in or a sandpit. lol
are you meaning material for them to sleep on or lay eggs or to generally sleep in? if that makes sense.

I have the 2 pairs in the same pen or aviary dont know how to call it.

But is just like a big cage with wire all around

thats why I am asking if I need to put some kind of nest box , or small box to sleep in or do I need to built a coop inside the aviary

Thank you guys

They Will Either Roost On Natural Branches, Or Sleep On The Ground In A Place Where They Feel The Least Vulnerable... Most Quail Arent So Hot On Using Nest Boxes... Since They Routinely Nest On The Ground In The Wild If They Have A Brushy Spot They Will Likely Nest In That. You Can Try A Small Nest Box Camo'd With Plants/ Brush/ Grass And See If They Will Use It, But I Wouldnt Hold My Breath As Most Caged Gamebirds Wont... But There Always Exceptions To The Rule
