They are pretty much the same, A&M's are just larger English Whites. None of them have white meat though. I advertise mine as English Whites even though they are as big as the jumbos because I don't want to get into the whole Moby Quail thing. If you cross a white to a jumbo you will get mostly Jumbos, some whites, a couple of whites with more spots than usual, and I think it is where the white bib in the jumbos comes from but am not sure...

Texas A &M University. The A &M is supposed to be a little bit bigger than the English white ( but not as large as a "jumbo" )and they have MYTHICAL white flesh.NO Coturnix has all white flesh though some folks say they have birds with striated flesh.
Pretty much A & M Whites and Eng. Whites have mixed together so much that the A & M white doesn't exist any more ...or so i understand.
Do a search on here about Texas A & Ms and you will have enough reading material to keep you busy for quite a while !
hope this helps.
The A&M no longer exists, they have pretty much phased out. There is no white meat coturnix period. Oh, and didn't they start out as browns or something JJ?

They started out as Browns and bred back to English whites to get white and big...didn't work out as well as they hoped for. It was hoped for that the Quail would be the new chicken.
Funny thing Aprophet, I have that UC Davis pamphlet in it's original form
