I was hoping to find a thread on Lemon Cuckoo Orpingtons, but couldn't. If I missed an existing one, my apologies! If not, I hope we can share some photos and information here! I have 10 chicks that are just over a month old. They are double barred, here are some photos of a nice little cockerel showing nice barring feathering in. They are a fun, fiesty, very friendly little group.

OMG, SERIOUSLY CUTE!!!

I'm going to have to seriously consider having one of these in my flock. Just love my Orpington and one w/ bars? Oooo, it's like peanut butter and chocolate. Just meant to go together.

My lil guys are 2 months old, I love them. I have 2 hens and 3 roos. getting some more hens in Sept. Anyone interested in a youg roo?

I would love to hear more about folks working on Lemon Cuckoo Orps. Here are a couple pics of ours.

I didn't know you had these. I had hoped to order some when Green Fire had them but couldn't get anyone to split an order with me so I'd have enough chicks for their guarantee. Now they guarantee just 6 chicks. I have my eye on their reds. I've seen the Lemons on rarebreedsauctions but I'd rather start with chicks. The last time Green Fire had them on the site I would have been in Texas and had no one to pick them up for me. Such is life.

The lavenders and others I have from you are doing fine, though not laying yet except for the white hen. It may be a light issue but I'm sure come spring they'll be fine. They certainly seem healthy enough.

In either case I'll be watching your site to see when I can get some Lemons. It will mean another drive but it's not so bad. I may have Reds by then though.

Take care everyone,
