Unfortunately, I'm 99% certain my rooster died of Cocci. I know its rare, but not all birds are immune. Mine were not vaccinated, and I don't feed medicated chick feed either. My roo was over 2 years old but contracted it anyways. No signs to the rest of my flock, but since I know its there I'm treating because it can invade in kill in about 6 days leaving my other birds open to infection.
My question is, I keep finding the dilute information for 9.6% corid, however today I could ONLY find 20% soluble powder. FDA site states this is ok, and the measurements are stated as:
"Chickens
Amount: 20 percent soluble powder in drinking water. Administer at the 0.012 percent level in drinking water as soon as coccidiosis is diagnosed and continue for from 3 to 5 days (in severe outbreaks, give amprolium at the 0.024 percent level). Continue with 0.006 percent amprolium-medicated water for an additional 1 to 2 weeks.
Indications: Treatment of coccidiosis.
Limitations: No other source of drinking water should be available to the birds during this time. As sole source of amprolium."

i need to know what this means in terms of diluting in water. I have an average of 6 chickens in each pen, all bantams, all about 1 lb weight (give or take some ounces). I would like to dilute in either 5 gallon or 1 gallon waterers (I have both).
I need actual measurements in grams, ounces, teaspoons... or whatever. This package I have is 10oz (283.5 grams).
Again, the easy measurements I see for this are only for the 9.6% solution, which was not available to me!
