I have safe-guard for goats (ferbendazole) surpension 10% (100 mg/ml). I have used this to wormed my dogs in the past. Can I used this to wormed my chickens . If so how do i use it and what is the dosage?
Thanks, wekiva bird

Yes, you can administer it to your chickens. Dosage is orally; 1cc for giants, 3/4cc for large fowl, 1/2cc for standards, 1/4cc for smaller birds. Redose in 10 days. There's a 24 day withdrawal start to finish. I just got through worming my birds with it.

at what age can you worm baby chicks with it and would the dosage be ? I have our fully feathered chicks in with our big birds now and I am getting ready to worm with safeguard also.

I will also be using safe-guard for my chickens. I will follow the recommendation of 1/2cc for standards.

My question is, can I take the 1/2cc (dose per bird) and drop it of a piece of bread for each chicken to eat individually? (I have three) or will this somehow change it's potency?

Thanks,
Bob
