The biggest news story for homeowners this year -so far

Then why hasn't it hit mainstream news?

I would hate to take action and be proven the fool.

So... in order for something to be true, it must be broadcasted between American Idol and Dancing with the Stars?
Do you not consider The Wall Street Journal to be "mainstream"?

You can look up the docket number if you still have doubts. It is provided in the article.

A good place to check, is on snopes.com
They are almost always on top of things in the big, wide world of hoaxes. If this is fake, snopes will be all over it like a cheap suit within a few days.

You need to remember that anyone can file a suit against anyone for anything.

I can't find anything about this on FactCheck.org or on the Wall Street Journal's website. Any fly by night organization can sue anyone else. It will be interesting to see what this really is.

The law company who filed this sounds like one of those that would advertise on Hillbilly Handfishing (and yes, I watch and enjoy the show). And no where is the Wall Street Journal mentioned. This is now a news article. It is a press release from the firm that filed the suit. Doesn't mean diddly
