I was cleaning out my brooder tonight and some of my chicks were making a strange noise, not sure if they were sneezing or what but seemed like sneeze or just a short blow from their nose if this makes since.
Is this normal or should I start to worry?

Thanks for looking

Yes the bedding, but they seemed to be doing it for about 15 mins or so still after I was done.
Not sure if it's a sneeze or what. Maybe its just nothing.

My baby chicks also started to sneeze and a few days later they were still sneezing. My friends say it might be the bedding so i'd go with the bedding. they stopped sneezing by the way

Mine is still sneezing. Not sure why but maybe they will stop once I put them in the coop but I wanted to use wood chips in there to.

In Florida, we are having a lot of rain right now. You have to watch out for Mold spores in the bedding. If the birds inhale these spores there a couple of respiratory issues that can result. Some will be bacteria and some will be fungal. The bacteria ones will respond well to antibiotics. The fungal ones require a different treament route.

Mold spores can occur if an egg has broken in the nesting box too.....

Sneezing is a sign that something could be going on, so keep an eye on her. If she sneezes tomorrow, you will know that it was not just a reaction to dust being stirred up.
