I was reading the posts here in What breed or gender?, and someone was along about salmon favs. I thought with them you could sex by feather color. Then someone mentioned that could be darker colored girls... So, my birds are 13 weeks old. I got them from Meyer hatchery. No significant comb growth on any but 1 buckeye. Even that is quite flat compared to the ee crosses that have pea combs.

Here is one of the 4 salmon fav "boys"

Different "boy" - 13 weeks

Another "boy" - our little freak with yellow legs

I'd have better pictures but no one wanted a photo shoot today and I've got work to go to. I know most people are concerned they have more roos than girls, but I'm afraid I've got more girls than I can imagine. I've already moved 25 pullets. There are 23 more birds to sex.

that looks like a girl to me, but it could be a boy, can u get a side shot? how old is it? Usually u can tell by there feathers but sometimes its hard if u get them from hatcherys. Where did u get urs?
My broody hatched boys that are 5 days younger than these already have a few pointed feathers on their backs and necks. Everyone I've checked does not.

Those are all pullets. It's not unusual for hatchery girls to have some black on them.
