i have been over and over old threads trying to figure out the sex of my chicks. and just cant figure it out.
being split to white throws me off

piper (3 weeks old)

poppy (2 weeks old)

with the color difference i think i have a pair?
but i keep second guessing myself because of pipers personality .

There's not really a good way to tell until they are older, which is probably why you can't figure it out

When they get to be about 3 months, you can see the barring fade on the females and the barring increase on the males. Before then, if you need to know, DNA sexing is pretty much it for colors that don't carry on the gender chromosomes.

ive seen other threads say yoou can tell even when they are younger.?

There've been plenty of theories, and you can tell from day one on the sex-linked colors like purple, but for the blues it's blood or feather sexing until around 2-3 months.
i guess ill have to wait a few more weeks on them then.
but thank you =)
im still gona go with i have a pair just because of the personality differences.

my pleasure. theey are my babies.
piper would gladly walk around with me all day .
next week i am hoping to go get a java green, cameo, and a pied chick =) then i will have the other 3 colors im dying for.

excellent! You will have to post pics for us :D We love pictures! As for the personality differences... I believe you! My two were a pair and their personalities were completely different.

but piper is very in your face and curious. the first one to attack treats.
poppy kinda follows his lead.
