Dear BYC Community,
I am happy to be a new member here.
My "flock" is two runner ducklings at the moment - Rizling and Furmint (furmint is a Hungarian white wine and it's often sold in riesling-like tall bottle), and all of my family loves them. I really enjoyed making their cot too - built on a pallet so it is easily transportable with a forklift to a new spot. Even my daughters were helping to paint it white with limepaint.
We have a huge fenced garden with lots of fruit trees, flowers and several house and storage buildings, so the plan is to let them hunt'n'forage and only move in their house when the sun settles. No veggie crops here other than a few batch of green spice here and there, which means we will not be angry if they eat the salad, as we have none.
So many good ideas are here on the forum, thanks to everyone, and - as a new duck-owner - if you don't mind I would be happy to share my discoveries, most of them are sure to be trivial for longtime chicken and duck specialist, but who knows, maybe I can help novices like me. Have fun, and thanks again for being such a nice community!

Cheers,
Bali
