That pretty well sums it up! I do think there are some neat shops uptown at least that`s what my wife said. That was years ago though! When I was the head maintenance man for our local School Corp. I hated going there it took me forever to get through town. Of course the Elementary School was about the same as uptown!There was a traveling Shipshewana that came to Grand Rapids 30+ years ago. I was excited to go. I was sorely disappointed. It was an oversized flea market of cheap crap. I don't think there was any home made stuff at all. I saw a booth of yarn (which interested me, being a spinner and knitter) and it was all Red Heart! (Brand name, acrylic) It looked like they'd cleaned out a K-mart or some other discount store to just resell.
