Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Venting about ticks!
We have them here, in our yard, don't need to wander in the woods at all. Within the last year, I've had five deer ticks attached to my delicate self, had them all tested and two were negative for the five nasty diseases they commonly carry. Three 'only' had Lyme disease, including the one I had attached Saturday.
So, again on meds to most likely prevent infection. Yahoo!
The obnoxious critters must like me, all I can say. Not counting the two i found this week not yet attached...
Sure wish I could eat Nexgard or something monthly, like our dogs get.
Mary
Mrs Mary, you need gineas, they eat ticks, so i heard!

Well, this thief in disguise never made it close to the coop. All 40 pounds were taken care off with a shotgun and disposed far away, lol

I finally made it in the computer this afternoon. Lots to read for sure. I miss you all. Dang! Michelle, am I ever going to make it to the UP? Every year I want to take the fall trip and stay around to see some of the beauty of UP Michigan but never make it.
Still missing my Pixie but I am getting better. Pitbull has passed too. He was such a good roster and so stinking cute. So I still have 16 girls. They are all looking like they had participated in the Israel/Ukraine wars. Poor girls. But it is that time of the year as always. Never got to do the improvements to their patio and coop due to loosing Pixie and having to go to PR but maybe next year. I think that after these girls, I will take a break. Never thought of having so many, lol They are very addictive, especially when my veteran's ministry depends on them, lol
I miss you all. Sally, I really miss you. We need to get to a JJ and get some lunch soon before the white stuff comes down!
