Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Chick update: the one surviving Australorp/ maybe EE chick has six buddies from Meyers, two chipmonk colored chicks about the same age, and four three week olds. Two appear to be a pair of Salmon Favorelles (so much for pullets only) and two are cream/ pale gold whoevers. Maybe Orphingtons?
I do love Favorelles, and a pair! The cockerel might or might not fit in with our Australorp, time will tell.
Everyone is doing fine, after the adventure, never mind the interesting weather we're having.
And I never tried any of the S. King novels...

Weather is crazy!! I'm so happy! I'm off the hook for cooking Christmas dinner.. one son is making the manicotti. Other son making the salad. Son in law making meat balls ( son making manicotti is vegetarian) garlic bread and bringing a cheesecake. Granddaughter hasn't said what she's bringing yet. It's a big crowd, so it's such a relief that I don't have to do it!

We're getting together with friends at restaurants! As long as the roads are ok, it'll be fun.

Nobody has to clean their house. Nobody has to cook ANYTHING! And nobody has to do the dishes!

Yes, it's more expensive, but I prefer this. I don't feel like "the problem guest" because I'm gluten free.

I've been making the manicotti for years. But our family is really growing. Stuffing all those manicotti noodles begins to take a toll as I get older. Last year, son and I stuffed over 60 noodles!
I want to wish everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS! Don't know if I'll be back before then. Son from Chicago is coming in today, so we'll be busy. Take care.
