These two chicks are about 10 weeks old. Bump is on the left, Lannister on the right:

This one is Bump:

Bump again:

And these last 4 are of Lannister:

Lannister's crest is a little damp due to the wet weather we have been having here. I suspect that Bump is a rooster, but I hope Lannister is a girl! I have 7 silkie chicks altogether and these two are the friendliest, they will sit quietly on my lap when I am studying :)
Thanks in advance for your help.

Silkies are hard to tell for the longest time. I bought a pair of silkies (they tured out to be mixes) and the female turned out to be a rooster. I didn't figure this out til he started crowing at a year old. Bump, I'm very sure is a rooster. Lannister, I think, is agirl.

Of course you never know until she lays an egg (or crows) Good luck with your beautiful silkies!!!

Thanks everyone. They are the same age I think, maybe one or two days apart, however Lannister has always been bigger, and has the rounder crest whereas Bump has the cockeral crest and the wattles just seemed to erupt out of nowhere last week and are much bigger than Lannister's. Are you mainly basing your theory that Lannister is a boy on his/her comb?
