Just got 11 chicks and trying to check breed and ROO or Pullet

This one I think is a female with small tale feathers







This one is the chick I think is a male





This is both of them together. I think the breed is a B.O. but not sure. In this picture they are the same age. About one week old


 
It's really too early to tell if you have a rooster. A rooster will start with a red comb earlier than a pullet. Hope this helps. Maybe someone else will respond that knows more than I do. Enjoy your little ones!
 
males do feather out slower than females...so keep an eye on the one that does not have as many feathers...but that is no guarantee that that one is a male or that the other one is a female...it will be fun to see what they do turn out to be..please keep us updated and post more pics when they are 6 weeks old and we might be able to tell you a little more....good luck and

We shall see. I hope i got it right. I really dont need a roo but who knows. It might work out:p
