This is a place for swapping HATCHING EGGS however if you do not have any hatching eggs to offer you may offer a PAYPAL deposit in lieu of hatching eggs. EGGS, PAYPAL and CHICKS. Any type of eggs are allowed as long as the 1st offer is 6 pure chicken or 6 duck or 8 Guinea eggs 4 for turkey 3 for goose 12 for quail.

EGGS MUST BE PUREBRED! 1st Offer other offers can be for mixed.

If eggs are from mixed colors, please note color combinations.

Minimum of eggs see above for breed. If you would like to offer more, that would be fine too.
Please make you PayPal offer at least $15 the more you offer the faster it will get claimed and get you off the chain. No one likes to hold things up. Remember those sending eggs have to pay for shipping.
Please post a pic if you have one it will help your eggs move.

To qualify for accepting an offer, you need to post what you are offering in return.

When each trade is posted, please pm or email the person who offered the eggs and work out the shipping arrangements.

The person sending the eggs pays the shipping costs.


So that everyone gets a chance to swap the LIMIT is being set to 7 per week. You may use all your swaps in one day if you wish.

The new week starts at 12:01 AM Sunday EST

When eggs are mailed, swapper needs to send a courtesy email to the swappee to let them know that the eggs are on their way. All Egg Must me shipped with tracking #

All pure breeds of poultry are welcome in the swap. Easter Eggers are Welcome as long as they are non-standard color Ameraucanas. Meaning mixed color Ameraucanas. Not Olive Eggers or Chocolate Eggers, these made be made only after 1st choice.

!st offer Please offer eggs that you will have available to ship within two weeks of offering. Please send egg no older the 4 day when shipped. You may offer eggs for a later date if the claimer agrees.

If the thread stalls for 6 hours, try changing your offer if you can.

If you can offer PayPal after 6 hours please do so in order to keep the thread moving.

If you stall the thread for more than 24 hours TOTAL all offers combined you will not trade for the rest of the week, If possible the stalled offer will be rolled back to the offer before.

Please do not send the eggs, chicks or paypal until the person who claimed your offer has their offer claimed, just in case they are near the 24 hour rule limit.

All NEW swappers must have their 1st 7 swaps verified by crazypetlady or reesepoultry or coffeekittie before they are allowed to swap without restriction. This means if you claim something the person you claim from is not to send you your eggs/paypal until what you have offered has been sent and verified by the person who claimed. I realize this will slow things down for some of the new swappers but it has to be done for eveyone's protection. This is in effect NOW. If you were a swapper on the old paypal chain you are cleared for this one. If you have completed 7 sucessful swaps on this chain you are cleared, if you have not you must now stop swapping until you are cleared. This will take sometime but a list will be compiled of the eligible swappers and posted.

If combining different breeds, write in pencil the breed.

You must be a member in good standing on BYC for at least 3 months in order to join the swap.

Side trades are welcome but please use PMs to avoid confusion.

Please be respectful of others and not tying up the thread so that everyone has a chance to swap.

If anyone would like to volunteer to help me clear swappers and with a list of eligible swappers please let me know and hopefully it will make the process move along.

Also there has been much concern about Spring eggs. If you are offering or claiming Spring eggs please be sure you are going to be able to meet your obligations if something were to happen to your flock and you could not fill your swaps.

I also STRONGLY encourage those of you claiming Spring eggs NOT to claim more than you can afford to lose.

That said there are several of us who offer Spring eggs and have plans in place in case something were to happen to our flocks and we could not get the eggs out.

If you are concerned about Spring eggs DON'T claim them or be sure you check with who you are claiming from. For example a BYC with some time behind them vs. someone who just joined. You are welcome to PM them before claiming and even ask for pictures of the chickens that they will be using to collect the Spring eggs from.

Those posting Spring eggs might want to offer pictures of their growing flocks just as those with current eggs do. As soon as I can get my Tolbunts to stop playing in the mud I will post some photos of them for those who claimed eggs for Spring to look forward to.

Since we are all adults here I expect those who do not have 7 cleared swaps to let us know when making a claim that you are working on getting your 1st 7 swaps cleared and we can all get this done together so everyone can continue swapping.

This is a great idea. I do think this will be better for everyone. As for my spring eggs if something was too happen. Most of mine are in coops but some do free range. But if something was to happen I would offer PP or buy eggs from someone else and have them shipped to the person who claimed them or let them choose differant eggs from me. I would of course give that option to the person who accepted my offer on which they wanted.

I won't have a problem helping you out I am always checking online to see what is up on the threads.
