I don't know how this happened but like the hard part of her beak is sticking up.There is stilla part of it left which you can hopefully see in the picture but I tried to get her to eat and drink and she wouldn't.
I'm new to chickens and I have no idea what to do, please if you have any ideas it would be really appreciated.

Poor thing. Is the part underneath hard? or soft? I can't think that much can be done to put it back? I have no idea. I am sure there are cases similar on here. Try doing a search and see. Maybe someone will see this and chime in. I would think though that you are going to have to clip off that sticking up.

Search "Broken Beak" on this website. There are quite a few threads on similar situations. I have no experience but some of the threads say that the beak will grow back providing it wasn't clipped and cauterized at the hatchery. Not sure if that applies to all beak breaks.

Hope all goes well.

The part underneath is hard, and I searched a lot but couldn't find any cases were it was up like this, they were only like the ends chipped off or crossed. i'm going to try and go to a avian vet and see what they say. She seems fine, but is a bit too calm and won't drink or eat anything, not even mealworms.

In that case I would think it could recover. Let us know what the vet says...I guess just keep it clean until then? It may take a bit to desensitize...kinda like a fingernail maybe? Good luck!

I wouldn't eat or drink anything if my lip was torn off either ;( Granted, chickens don't have lips, but I'm thinking it's probably painful for her...the poor dear. Thumbs up on the idea of an avian vet, for sure.

I'm sorry this happened. I'm brand new to raising chickens too...and if that were me I would completely beside myself with worry. I feel for ya!

turns out that the vet isn't open until monday, do you think it would be okay to wait until then?

It's always that way with kids too...it always happens on the weekend. I would think as long as you kept her hydrated...make sure to get water in her and maybe feed her cat food liquidated well so you can dribble some in the beak she should be fine. You could try offering some really soft scrambled egg and maybe some cottage cheese mixed in so its really soft maybe she would eat it.

I tried to give her water with a dropper and so I pulled her bottom beak down a bit and gave her a bit but then she she kept closing her eye on the side I was putting it in like she was wincing so I stopped
