FAQ:

Q: Is there a need for egg turning?
A: No, You do not need to turn eggs for small capacity. It is automatic control, no need for egg turning.( unless you want to)

Q: Is this machine suitable for family use or for kids gift.
A: Yes, of course. This model is specialized design for family, and kids education and creativity.

Q: What is Base Temperature Programmed, does that means that a specific temperature can be set and maintained like a house? Does this machine have Alarm?
A: Yes,the temperature is adjustable and the manufacturer has set the temperature for hatching chickens. And if the temperature goes beyond the set amount the alarm will begin to sound so your baby chicks won't die unhatched like most incubators!

They look pretty good..

I would just move the eggs myself and try it out... Won't hurt to test it out :) I might get one myself! Since it's digital i'm tired of killing chicks due to manual adjustment of the heater!

Looks to me like a yogurt maker that didn't make the grade relabeled to try to pass it off as an incubator. Where are the chicks going to go when they hatch? All those slick surfaces and holes/traps are sure to cause leg problems or worse. Did you notice the price on the warranty you can buy??? I wouldn't take one on a dare, unless I had a mind to make my own yogurt.

Hello,

I am the distributor for these mini incubators. Basically with my experience incubating, I normally use an automatic egg turner
for my white leghorn hatches and quail hatches, but I have also had success without turning the eggs at all. My last run on one of the
mini incubators I had 5 eggs and 3 out of the 5 hatched but I had to control the humidity and temperature very carefully since that is usually
the cause for bad hatch rates.

We have free shipping until christmas since many people are buying them for christmas presents for kids and friends
so feel free to swing by or ask me any questions.

Regards,
Dasp

While there is some controversy surrounding the requirement to turn eggs, it is generally believed that frequent turning increases hatch rates. This is particularly true during the first 10 days.

I suspect that many will hatch without turning, but more will hatch with turning.

I would turn.

In regards to the incubator, it looks like it has everything covered: regulated heat, humidity source. You really don't need much else.

Upon more careful inspection, I would be very leery of turning eggs end-over-end once they reach 14 days or so. It appears that the egg holder holds the eggs upright, as opposed to a wire-bottomed incubator where they would be held horizontally, or even an auto-turner where the eggs are set vertically but only turned 45 degree each way.

With this incubator, "turning" really is flipping the egg 180 degrees, end over end. Unless I am missing something.

Once the embryo reaches a certain size it cannot easily turn 180 degrees to align with the air cell at the large end. At 17-18 days this must occur, so I would make sure that the large end is up, and stays up, after that point. I might be inclined to stop flipping the eggs at day 14 just to be sure.
