It never seems to ease up for me... details to follow once I have access to a proper computer, then I'll post all of the vet trip and lab work details.

Keywords: Histomoniasis, raging gram negative infection, fluids, tube feeding.

I am so sorry! I hope it clears up soon... I wish they would develope some immunity against the stuff!

Both Green an Blue actually pecked at some mash, and they wanted to go outside, so that's good, but they both still diarrhea. Hoping that the antibiotics start working, soon.

Good to hear. How are they having relapses? Do you know? Where is the source coming from?

I think their immune systems aren't what they should be, so I think they're having a hard time fighting off blackhead relapses and the dreaded secondary infections the we keep seeing. They're done with their Metronidazole, for now, and the vet has them on 250mg Clavamox twice a day for 10 days for the E. Coli infection,

One thing the vet said was "it's not usually the disease that kills them, it's dehydration", so she told me that each pea was to get 100ml of either subcutaneous fluids or oral fluids per day. Additionally, if not eating a normal amount and/or losing weight, tube feed 80-100ml high protein crumble or baby bird food twice a day.
