Hello from Idaho! 
I am a bit late on my introduction but had been snooping around reading for awhile and then finally jumped on the forum right before becoming a first time chicken and duck owner. I currently am going to school. I have my AA in Criminal Justice and am finishing my Bachelors in Social Work. I have been trying to stay active in many ways and my inside pets do me really well on the stress level and helping but I wanted something to *work for* this summer and outside in the beautiful weather! So I thought my chickens and ducks would be perfect. I started out with only a few. It isn't anything big for food or anything. Just some lovely pets to visit and care for each day.
My chicks are currently about 2 1/2 weeks old and my duckling I am assuming couldn't be more than 5 days currently.
I was amazing when I found BYC's and its community - you all have been so wonderful and are just beaming with knowledge. I am glad to have joined the community. I just pray I can some day be as helpful with others as you have been with me!
