Here are some video's of our brand new homemade incubator. It's made out of 1 sheet of half inch birch laminated plywood and uses a GQF heater element with 12 volt computer fans to save electricity.

I like the incubator ,especially home made ones. I just finished one and yes I use the 300 watt power supply from a computer and hook up as many fans as I need for humidity control. It is a good idea to show others your ideas so others can take from that and make whatever modifications they want to try. Sounds like the incubator is obviously a success with all the chirping going on..
Awesome stuff, happy hatching.. Steve

Thanks BunkyB. I'll probably do some modifications but it works pretty good. If i upgrade I'll make a new video to show what I did and how it worked out. Have to admit it was a fun project but toward the end it became time pressing but I finished it the way I wanted.

One main change I'm thinking about making is adding a PC fan to the door so it blows across the bottom shelf forcing more air from the top to the bottom and back to the top again to get a nice convection type circulation.

Have a feeling this won't be my last incubator cause I just had too much fun building it and learning. Chickens sure have kept me busy but I like it that way. Constantly learning ways to improve and become more self sufficient.
