Sometimes you just gotta wonder.
I was at the feed store the other day and joined in a conversation being led by a fellow who was losing ducks on his tank (If your not from Texas, "tank" is Texas-talkin' for a man-made pond.), and was considering getting geese for predator protection although he wasn't sure what the guilty critter was.
Of course the conversation turned to what might be getting his ducks, coon, coyote, turtle etc. None made any sense because he said that there was no sign of them, the ducks just disappeared, no feathers, no blood, just gone!
We were all at a loss until finally, he told us one last vital piece of need-to-know information, "There is a four foot 'gator in the tank, but the ducks stay away from him."
