Deep in the forests and mountains of the taiga, far away from humans, a vast expanse of land is the home to four packs of wolves: Mountainpack, Tundrapack, Valleypack, and Sprucepack. It is a different world here entirely, and survival of the fittest is the law of the land. Every pack is in it for themselves; alliances do not exist, save for times of great hardship for all of the packs. What pack will you defend? Or will you be a loner and fight for yourself?

Rules

  • OwlLover, wildriverswolf90, and SilkiesForEver own this RP. We're not the supreme overlords of this thread; we are open to suggestions. We won't be dictators; however, we do own this RP, and if we ask you to do something, please listen.
  • Don't be rude. If you have a problem with someone else, take it to a PM.
  • No drama or temper tantrums in OOC.
  • We're not accepting any new packs until further notice, so please don't ask.
  • If a pack claims new territory, it must be claimed with a full battle, or surrendered with the other pack's full consent. No "It belongs to them now".
  • The only characters that are to be RPed are wolves. The only non-wolf creatures that can be played are prey animals, and they are not to be played as main characters.
  • One blow per post and do not state the injury inflicted. Only dodge 1 out of 5 attacks; your wolf is not a ninja and should take honest injuries where applicable. I'm not talking about a tiny scratch, either. I mean honest injuries that can put your wolf out of the fight. Don't leave someone else's charrie unable to fight back, either. Disregard this of course, if you are fighting your own charrie.
  • Now, by the same token: In major battles, you may kill another person's wolf as long as it is realistic. HOWEVER, the wolf in question must have suffered a lot, and had plenty of chances to escape death. Obviously, a single wolf cannot kill three others, but if the wolf in question has suffered a lot, had plenty of chances to escape, and the situation is fair and square, it is allowed. I know this is very different from the other RPs and the archived versions of this RP, but I'm enforcing it to prevent situations where a wolf illogically walks away from a situation and/or somehow survives critical injuries that should have killed them. If there are any disputes about this, the owners (whoever happens to be online at that time) have the final say.
  • Be realistic. A single wolf cannot take on a whole pack and come out unhurt, and a single wolf cannot take down a whole pack solo. No impossibly strong or invincible characters, either.
  • No major plot twists without our permission. We are open to suggestions if you have any ideas.
  • If a pack claims new territory, it must be claimed with a full battle, or surrendered with the other pack's full consent. No "It belongs to them now".
  • And most importantly, HAVE FUN!

Pack Duties:

  • Hunting: Common wolf prey is divided into two parts:
  • Solo Prey: (That can be caught by one wolf):
    • Rabbits and hares
    • Small mammals such as squirrels
    • Fish
    • Small birds
  • Pack Prey: (Must be caught by several wolves and hunts are usually led by the pack's alphas)
    • Elk
    • Caribou
    • Moose
  • Guard and Patrol Territory: The territory is the heart of the pack; it provides food and a place to raise a family. Territory must be defended until the only option is to flee or die. Trespassers must be challenged, and driven off if they have no purpose or are hostile. To keep this appropriate, just say "He/she marked the pack's territory".
  • Protect the pack: Wolves protect their friends and family at all costs!

Ranks:

  • Alpha Male: Mate of the Alpha Female and a leader of the pack. Highest rank, and equal in rank to the Alpha Female
  • Alpha Female: Mate of the Alpha Male and a leader of the pack. Highest rank, and equal in rank to the Alpha Male
  • Beta Pair: Second highest ranks. Will take the place of the alphas when they die unless challenged.
  • Packmate: All regular wolves. Middle rank.
  • Omega: Lowest rank of the pack. Typically wolves who are unable to sufficiently contribute to the pack.
  • Pups: Young wolves who do not have official ranks yet. Pups are any wolves under a year old
  • (Alphas and Betas can be challenged for their rank by any wolf, just please do not do it constantly, and remember that the loser of the fight is almost always exiled.)

Personality: Senkah is calm, collected, and a bit stern. Senkah watches her pack like a hawk, and almost always knows what is happening. She is impatient, and has a temper that is easily set off. When she gets after wolves for disrespecting her, or ignoring her orders, she can be very harsh; almost a bit too much. Wolves who are lazy, or ignore her orders infuriate her. Despite her usual wariness of strangers, she is accepting of most loners, and it angers her when her pack attacks them without questioning them. She can be a bit critical of her pack at times, and isn't afraid to let them know when she's displeased about something they do or did. Senkah is skilled at hiding her emotions. Despite her tough exterior, however, she is a kind wolf, behind the wall she's built around her emotions. She loves her daughter, Faedon, more than life itself, and they share a very close bond like no other. The only problem is, she does favor Faedon a bit, and gives her lighter punishments than she would other members of Mountainpack.
History: Senkah was the daughter of Mountainpack's previous alphas. She inherited the rank of beta, and eventually succeeded to alpha. (/fail)

Senkah has mostly soft, downy midnight fur. She has a white underside and tip of tail, as well as white ears and paws. Her eyes are a stunning sapphire blue.

Personality: she keeps to herself mostly, she is a skilled hunter and tracker, she can have a fiery temper when she gets riled.
History: doesn't talk about it, but scars on her nose, chest and above her eye suggest a bad one.

Personality: Fiery and tough, Faedon has a fiery temper that is easily set off. She is rugged, and keeps to herself for the most part. She's a bit of a "loner", and doesn't have a ton of friends because of it. When she loses her temper, she will take her anger out on anyone, even if they've got nothing to do with it. She cares about her pack, but would abandon her packmates in a heartbeat in battle if her family or another wolf that she loves is in danger. She lives for adventure, and loves to explore. Deep down, she really is a sweet wolf; but she's troubled, and she has a hard time expressing her kindness.
History: Born in Mountainpack to the alphas.

Personality: he is watchful of the pack, short temper, but would die/kill for any member, is excellent at tracking the elk during their migrations, he is wary of newcomers, but a loyal friend once you get to know him, he even watches out for the pups and omega.
History: he was born to the alpha pair that began spruce pack, but was young when they died so couldn't assume the role of alpha.
