Several (myself included) have talked about how to set up a feed/water station in a brooder to help minimize mess. While browsing through my local OSH/Lowe's, I took a look at some of their plastic totes and found this gem:

It's a Rubbermaid product. The top comes off like a regular plastic tote bin, but the real benefit for duck brooders is the fold-down front door. It makes an ideal ramp up into the feed/water area. and it's about an inch deep inside, meaning it catches all the spill-over. I got the large size, which fits perfectly inside the 5-foot galvanized tub I'm using to brood. The best part was that there was zero construction/modification involved. It truly was a ready-made solution.
