Excellent, I had just made a post the other day on when the show might be. My kids love the show.
What kind of catalog do you have if you don't mind me asking?

The regular show catalog, with the entry form. I can't seem to upload documents on here, but if you send me your email, I will send you the file.

Thanks! Glad you enjoy the show!

I am SO SO bummed that I can never make this show!! It always falls on a weekend where my son has a Crew Race!! :(
Would love to see pictures from the show though!!!! Anyone gonna post some?

No EEs. I have salmon faverolles, 5 girls and 6 boys. 1 white leghorn girl and 3 naked necks. I have hatching eggs for sale and some are purebred Black Ameracuanas.

My family and I are SO looking forward to this show! We just started our flock a few weeks ago with 6 RIRs and are loving them! We are hoping to add 4-6 more ladies to our flock. Maybe some "fancier" birds to add variety. Any suggestions or favorite breeds? Doesn't need to be super prolific egg laying breeds as our girls are producing an egg a day each which is more than enough for our family and some friends. Looking for breeds with nice personalities who get along well with others:)

Picking birds for eye candy is so much fun!

As you will find out at the show, everyone has their favorite breeds, for many different reasons. (I have friends who have birds I have absolutely no interest in, and vice versa.) My suggestions is to bring a small notebook and pen, and a camera, pick up an exhibitor's list at the show secretary's table, and wander the aisles. Try to stay out of the aisles where the judges are working. Mark down the breeds that catch your eye, and take a picture. (Please don't open the cage doors.)

Note the exhibitor number on the coop tags of the breeds you like, and then find that number, and the name of the exhibitor on the exhibitor list, and call the phone number, if one is listed. Then you can ask the breeders all the questions you like. Take notes!

IMPORTANT - don't buy just anything, just to have something to take home! We've all fallen victim to that urge. If you find a breed you really like, and none are available at the show, do some calling around, and check out the web pages for that breed's club, or a thread here on BYC, and contact breeders from there. Learning to wait is one of the hardest things to do, but it's worth it in the end.
