This year my mom was diagnosed with cancer for the third time. She was the primary caregiver to the birds but she can no longer go near them because of her immune system. I am too busy and cannot take care of the birds. Our flock consists of 1 Delaware Rooster (3-4 years old) 1 Speckled Sussex Rooster (3-4 years old), 1 Buff Orpington Hen (3-4 years old), 1 Gold Laces Wyandotte Hen (4-5 Years old), 1 Silver Laced Wyandotte Hen (3-4 years old), 1 Male Rouen Duck (5 Years old), 1 Wild Mallard (3-4 years old), and 1 Jumbo Pekin (3-4 years old). A little information, The Delaware Rooster has an amputated middle toe on his right foot after getting an infection, this causes him to limp. He is by far the nicest bird in the flock and loves to be pet. All the birds seem to be healthy. I need to get rid of them ASAP. They are living in poor conditions and I just do not have the time to give them the care they need and my mom is not allowed to be with them. I live in North Bend Washington. You can reach me by email at [email protected] or by phone at 425-894-344zero. One last thing, these birds need to go to a strict no kill home. I will not said these birds to a home where they will be killed.
Thank you!
Jack

Is there a shelter near you? Can you contact your state SPCA to see if there is a facility ear you able to take the birds?

My sister lives in NB and I have asked her if she knows anyone who keeps chickens. I would take them in a minute, but getting them to the otherside of WA could be a problem.

We have located a guy named Steve, in North Bend he will be giving you a call. He is good man, and owns a feed store. Hopefully, he can take the chickens off your hands. Good Luck and Prayers for you Mom and Family!
