i have a 4 month old (pullet?) that has a rooster tail sort of on one side, a hens comb, a roosters side waddles but doesn't crow, will mate the others. The two (pullets) that I know are roosters treat it like a hen. They are buff orpingtons. Is it a rooster or a hen? I want eggs, not roosters. This one has me baffled.

That's what I was thinking, but his comb and waddles aren't near the size of the other roosters his age nor does he crow. Strange fellow I guess. Do not all roosters crow?
