HELP!! Chicken with odd behavior bullied by all hens - trying to reintroduce him to the flock?
I hatched 8 chicks (currently 8-9 weeks old) and At around 5 weeks old one day they began to beat my speckled Sussex rooster (I think he's a boy!). He was beat up and badly injured and dying. Duck stopped using pool and became less sociable
Hi all. Few months ago we got 4 Khaki Campbells ducks and 12 chickens. They have separate coops, but sharing a run. Ducks have their swimming pool. Few days ago one of the ducks died (cannot stop crying, poor wee soul). We think she had egg track issue. I am now watching them constantly and... -

how quick are hens to adapt to a new home?
So, i have a hen who happens to have an underlying condition that needs treatment that we can´t give her, to add to that, we can´t really keep multiple hens or anything so we only have her, we have no coop because dogs and possums, and in general, it isn´t the best place for a hen.
