11 weeks old and have been going back and forth on the sex of my silverlaced wyandotte and my black australorp. Really have no idea about the silverlaced and originally thought the black australorp was a rooster until it's comb and wattle really didn't grow like my other one.
I have these two sweet black Australorp and I’m trying to figure out if they’re both female or not. Hoping they are so bad as I already have 2 cockerels so far. What do you guys think?
I’m new to this breed. I received 2 day old chicks, one with a comb development quicker than the other. Still no predominant waddles at eight weeks. Just a faster developing pullet or questionable cockerel?
I have three 11 week old pullets. 1 black Australorp and 2 barred rocks. They have pretty short combs and they aren’t really red but more on the light pink side. They also look kind of dry. This is my first time having chickens so I just want to make sure they are alright.
This is our first flock... this is our custom, DIY garage coop! I will be working on the run this coming weekend.
Here's a YouTube link for the full tour of the coop:
I will attach some photos too... my boys enjoyed picking a bunch of dandelions and presenting the girls with a big salad!
