    Loose rooster spur: leave alone or remove?

    Hi all....how would you treat a loose spur? I noticed my Silkie "Buttercup" limping today and saw that he had dried blood around the base of his right spur. It is wiggly (I gently manipulated it to check) but intact. It almost looks like the spur itself is cracked lengthwise but hard to tell...
