changing color

Recently my polish rooster has gained alot of white feathers, I keep discovering new ones each day. He's almost a year old Could he be a mixed breed or is it normal for the breed? bottom picture is from when I first got him 3 months ago!

We have 8 week old Pekings. 4 of them. Love them so much. They are spoiled rotten. They seem to be slowly turning yellow again. And losing tons of little white feathers. I read some of the posts and done think they much cracked corn and the water is fine. Any ideas?
