    What totally black chicken comes from a dark large red egg?

    My neighbor gave me a couple of fertile large red eggs I thought were from copper Morans. What we got were totally black chicks that are now totally black chickens. Can anyone help us figure out what they possibly could be? The rooster was supposed to be one of our old Dominique or barred rock...
