    Have been interested in Chickens but now have the time.

    I've raised chickens in the past but just now have the time to start building a real chicken coop, run, etc. Looking forward to designing, building and raising. Live on a lake now so have raised ducks in the past. may look into that also.

    What is the best egg layer in your opinion? I’m torn between getting Khaki Campbell and Indian Runners. I’m located in SE New Mexico, so we have mild winters and can have super hot summers.     Identification?

    A group of 4 of these recently showed up at the pond where I’ve been watching a bunch of mallard type duck families grow this season. Their bodies and beaks are very small/short in comparison to the mallards and there appears to be some red either in their eyes or immediately surrounding them...
