A crazy idea for ID/tag ducks (Threaded piercing bar as nasal saddle?)
I have been researching ways to distinguish my ducks from each other (I dislike leg bands because its hard to see when the ducks are swimming), and I came upon a little-discussed idea that has been used for studying wild duck populations. nasal saddling. Duck Breed ID
Hi!! My ducks are around 4 weeks old. I bought them from a local feed shop and 4 were sold as Perkins. 2 are peckin, 2 are Mallords, and 2 are obviously something else. Any ideas on what they might be? When they were younger they looked just like welsh harlequin ducklings, but now I’m not so... -

Identification?
A group of 4 of these recently showed up at the pond where I’ve been watching a bunch of mallard type duck families grow this season. Their bodies and beaks are very small/short in comparison to the mallards and there appears to be some red either in their eyes or immediately surrounding them...- Newducklover21
