This little chick is developing some sort of comb on their head. They are five weeks old. People talk about the comb being pinkish and turning red. Is that what that looks like? Is this likely a roo, or could it still grow up to be a hen?
Tsc was selling chicks labeled Sapphire Gem Pullets but I think this one looks more like a Barred Rock and now I'm not sure it's not a cockerel. First pic is at five weeks

I got some gold laced/buff/partridge mix standard Cochin chicks. The're five weeks now.
One is obviously a cockerel, but I'm not sure about the more feathered one.
Do you think it's a pullet? I suspect it's also a cockerel that just happens to be more feathered at this age.
I'm new to polish chicks and I've heard they're notoriously hard to sex, especially at a young age, but my splash polish chick has developed some huge red wattles already. For contrast, my wcb that's the same age doesn't have any at all!
