    Food location - coop or run?

    If one has a persistent ground squirrel and gopher problem, to the point where they chewed through the hardware fabric floor... and one has a very large coop and run, what is better - keeping the chicken feed in the coop or run? Challenge: Food is available 24-7, cannot be put away at night...

    can any one help me identify this tree? I am leaning towards wild plum but have not noticed it flower or fruit before the chicken got it. The fruit when green on the tree resembles a cherry tomato. It has a stone pit inside ripe purple almost black fruit. The flesh is also dark purple in color...

    What can I feed my chicks?

    I have 8 week old buff orpingtons, and I currently feed them a starter feed and occasionally throw in some dried mealworms. I was just wondering what other foods, like fruits or veggies, I can start feeding them. Thank you all!:jumpy
