Hey! So we're chicken keepers in Alaska, and this summer we came by some Silkie chicks. They are not fully grown yet. Now it's nice and warm right now, but we've heard that silkies don't do well in the cold. Will they survive the winter, provided with a warm but slightly cramped shelter?
Has anyone ever discovered fuzzy chicken poo in the coop? Granted, we have had wet weather here lately but I cleaned out the coop yesterday and today I found this pile of fuzzy poo (picture included).
