This is my Rouen duck, I have another one with they exact same markings and size. They make the same noises as well.(just your typical Quack) They are 6 weeks old. Do the markings indicate any specific gender?
Thanks in advance!
Hannah
So its my first time rearing chicks and I know it's probably a bit early, but hoping someone more experienced can give me an idea, thank you. They are all Brahma around 6 weeks. I can of course take more photos if it helps.
Note: #4 has a bit of wound care applied after cutting his/her comb...
Hello! Please offer your insight on the sex of these birds.
They are 7 weeks old and were hatched out from “barnyard mix” hatching eggs from a farm. We do not know the breed or which breeds they have at the farm. I have numbered them 1,2 and 3 in the photos.
If you have guesses on breed...
My two goslings are starting to get their feathers and I’m trying to figure out what kind of geese I have and potentially their genders if anyone has any guesses. I think I have a male and a female and I’m sick between thinking they are Toulouse or African
The first two photos are of the...
Hey! I have a young chicken with a very prominent comb, but so far only pullet feathering, and very feminine compared to its brother. think its a pullet, how about yall?
I have an ameraucana that im not sure on, the breeder says female but im having my doubts. Others on here have said male so im torn in the middle. It does have a reddish wound near the beak due to being pecked through the wire mesh.
So is sparring this early a good indication of being a rooster?
They are exactly 8 days old. My one chick tried to spar today with its siblings, full kicks and neck poof. It was ridiculous seeing a ball of fluff karate kicking. Im already calling it a he because hes the most cuddly and bonded to...
Ever wanted to test your ability to sex silkies? You don't have to be an expert to take a guess here! Even if you know next to nothing on sexing silkies. In these photos they are 3-4 weeks old. That's too young to properly tell the genders yet. That's why I don't expect all guesses to be...
I think I have three pullets and three roos between my six birds. Thoughts? Any guesses on adult colors also welcome!

Hello Everyone!
My flock is about 6-7 weeks old now. I have introduced them outside to their permanent home. Everything seems to be going good so far, except a couple of concerns.
They will not go inside the coop by themselves at night. I know its clean, so possbile bugs, pest, etc. are not an...
Here we are again, my chicks are now 9 weeks old! What would you say my babies are?! I feel like I'm going crazy thinking i only have roosters! 2&3 i think are for sure roosters.
Breed mixes listed under the pictures Thank you everyone!!Blue Azur mix

I currently have a few different aged silkies, and I was wondering if anyone could guess the gender of some of them? I am going to post the 3 oldest ( black, blue?, and a splash) because I feel like my other 2 groups are still too small to tell. Any guesses or advice on how to determine gender...
So, I have six three week old silkie chicks (yes they’re pure, even though one has a single comb.) and obviously it’s much too early to tell what gender they are BUT let’s have some fun and have a guess. 😂 I have one that I’m 100% sure is a boy off it’s comb alone! It is so much bigger more U...
