    Hey y'all! I just got my first chicks, and I'm wondering what tips/tricks y'all have for getting them used to me? I've been sticking my hand in their brooder and leaving it there, sometimes with feed and sometimes not, but I'd love some advice!

    Hand taming tips?

    I'm pretty new to hand taming chickens, the chickens I hand tamed are pretty friendly and will sometimes jump on my lap/shoulder but I see a lot of chickens that are a lot friendlier, Any tips? I would love some breed suggestions too!

    How old should my baby chicks be before I play with them?

    My broody hen, a cuckoo maron named Pajamas, just hatched her first chick out of 6 eggs! She has never hatched before but she has already successfully raised two flocks of chicks. My question is this: How old do the chicks have to be before I start handling them?
