    Honking and sneezing, treatment?

Hi all! I have a 3 year old chicken who just started honking and sneezing. I have her separated from the rest of the flock. I believe this is respiratory. She does not have any eye drainage or bubbling. I have tylosin, enrofloxacin on hand. Should I treat with antibiotics? If so, which one?

Honking, shuffling backwards, 27 week Araucana

Hi, I found my girl on the ground not moving this morning. She’s now honking/sneezing, shuffling backwards, doesn’t want to eat or drink, she’s pooping, she’s with 17 others her age, not laying yet. I’m trying to attach videos, please excuse the narrating. I’m wondering if it’s respiratory...

I know the...

    Can male ducklings honk?

I know that when a duckling starts to honk, it means it’s female, but is that always the case? My 3 week old female mallard looks to be growing that green sheen to her head like the males have, but I could be wrong.

My 7 year old Buckeye had developed a honking respiratory sound a few weeks ago. First it was a couple times a week, but now it's all the time. Tried dabbing VetRX on her nostrils, etc and also on the rest of the flock. I tried giving her coconut oil in case something was stuck. I sprayed down...

    Emergency!! Chicken won't stand/move. Help!

I need advice on this asap.. Our hen seems to be having some issues. She is believed to be a brahma, maybe 8 years.(Minimum? Not sure.) Seeing as we know that is fairly old for a chicken, we suspect she may be dying of old age, but we aren't sure. She won't move at all except for her head/neck...

    New to Backyard Chickens

Hi, I'm a 79 yr old partially disabled Vet living north of Seattle on Lake Washington and used to having birds of some kind for most of my life. I recently had a wonderful male goose and lost him. Now I'm looking for another (female since they don't honk as loud?) I'm looking for the best...
