    1 out of 30 eggs hatched

    Hi guys! This was my first try at starting my own covey of quail for eggs and meat. I got 30 eggs, 15 from a local farm and another 15 from a farm a bit further away. Didn’t mean to get two different batches but they’re about 2 days apart. Out of the first batch, only 1 hatched, on day 19. None...

    Exploding egg on mama and chick

    Hello This is my first time having a hen wanting to be a mama. 1 hatched on Friday and 3 more eggs were not hatched 4-5 days later and 1 exploded and caused a big stress for mama and her chick. I cleaned up the box ( which is where she laid eggs) and I am concerned the others will explode...
