    Not enough hen for 1 Rooster?????

    Hi I have 7 hens,and am thinking about getting a rooster.Is 7 hens enough for 1 roo? I am worried that he might hurt the hens, is is safe to have only 7 hens? Would a bantam roo be better? If it is ok to have a roo with 7 hen what breed is the friendliest?
