Hi everyone, I’m a new chicken keeper and I am panicking as my 4 month old white Sussex hen isn’t herself tonight. She was fine all day and when I went to let her out the run for her evening walk around the garden she was all puffed up. She had a slow walk around and then I saw pinky/orange...
My newest Silkie has:
•very light blue-ish pink-ish skin
•light beak
•light purple ears
•light gold eyes
•and a lavender color in her feathers (was told she was "mauve")..not white
•5 toes on one foot and 4 on the other (so assuming a mix)
Is she albino? What chickens have this color skin...
These are my pair of rosie bourkes, a budgie-sized parrot also native to Australia. The color is amazing on these guys. They are qentler and much more subdued than regular parakeets (budgies) and they are shy, quiet birds.
Hi
So this morning when I went to check on my chicks (hatched yesterday)
I came across a pinkish lump in their drinker.
Not sure what it is, and I have searched all over the internet!
Can anyone help me please??
Regards :)
I have read that I shouldn't use red zip ties and I get the reason why. Has anyone had problems with using pink zip ties or bands with the chickens pecking at them?
Two out of my three full grown hens are both going through a molt. Both also have quite pale combs, while the one who isn't molting has a bright red comb. Is this normal or should I be worried?
