Chick pipped in the middle of the egg?
So, I am amazed I didn't notice this sooner with my 5th egg, but it has pipped in the middle of the egg instead of at the air sac which explained the short bleeding when I was clearing some 'dried' membrane away from the piphole, which was brown due to dried blood.
