So I have a male quail I know he’s male because I have vent sexed and he is exhibiting mating behaviors. Do some quail just never crow? I would think he would start before trying to mate right? Or do they start mating before crowing sometimes? The rest of my males crowed before they started...

So my male coturnix has started crowing, and has been for about 1-2 weeks. A lot today I’ve noticed. Should there be eggs soon because of the crowing? How are the two related? Thank you :D
