Hello, readers! I just wanted to share my first time incubating story. I ordered 6 Serama eggs from eBay. I received 9 all in great shape. I thought my broody Silkie hen would do the hard work for me but she changed her mind. So at the last moment I bought a Little Giant incubator from TSC. This...
In the future I would be interested in getting Serama chickens and in the further future show quality Ayam Cerami chicks and/or hatching eggs as well as other threatened breeds of chickens. I so far haven't found many places that seem legit that sell these birds. Does anyone on here recommend...
I am greatly interested in adding Seramas to my flock but I'm hoping to find a good value hatchery to order from. The max I'm willing to pay per bird is $50 or $5 per egg. Input is greatly appreciated.

Could anyone give me tips on sexing seramas also? What about mixed breeds like these?

I guess this means I wait another...
I have 11 one day old bantams and they have slept in a big huddled ball under the heat plate and haven't come out once. Not to eat or drink. Not at all. When you lift the heat plate they really huddle together. Its against there back and warm. Is this normal?
