sexing 7 weeks

    Roos or hens/ 7 week old BRs and RIR

    Hi everyone! I have 7 week old, three barred rock chicks and one Rhode Island red. The feed store claimed these were sexed pullets… But I’m not so convinced they all are. My kids named them so I will post them with their names and pics, if anybody has any thoughts? I’d greatly appreciate it...

    Pullet or Cockerel? Polish Edition!

    These three are about 7-8 weeks old (roughly) and happily free ranging in the yard. I've never raised polish birds from chicks before so I'm not sure how to tell their sexes at this age. I'm guessing, though, that #1 is a cockerel and #3 is a pullet. No clue on #2. What are your thoughts?
